  • What is a private chef?
    A private chef is essentially a cook who prepares meals for their clients. They can prepare any type of meal, from simple dinners to gourmet dishes. They also have the added benefit of shopping and cooking for you, meaning that you don't need to worry about spending hours in the kitchen. For people who hate cooking, this is a dream come true!
  • What is a catering chef?
    Catering chefs, sometimes known as "event chefs", are independent (rather than in-house) food service professionals who prepare and deliver ready-to-eat meals. Catering chef duties may include menu planning; purchasing of food, supplies, and equipment; food preparation; beverage preparation; table setting; serving clients/customers; and cleaning.
  • How can I book Channy J’s for an event?
    All private chef and catering inquiries should be directed to Channy J by email at: Please include as much information as possible, such as: Date(s) of event Budget for catering # of guests expected Specific dietary restrictions if any (vegetarian, vegan, nut allergies, diabetes, low/high blood sugar levels, etc) Any other specific requests (ex. outdoor cooking area, indoors with hood system or no cooking equipment necessary, etc.) We will email you back as soon as possible with a quote and further information about the menu options that fit your event.

  • Is a deposit required for service(s)?
    A nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the estimated total charge will be charged after contract signing.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Any cancellations must be submitted in writing via email and will be reviewed and considered on a case-by-case basis. Channy J's requires a minimum of 72 hours cancellation before your event. In the case of a cancellation for any event, Channy J's can retain a portion or all of the retainer fee as liquidated damages. All deposits are nonrefundable but can be applied to a future event of equal of greater value of the cancelled contracted event if the new event is scheduled within 2 (two) months of the original event, if cancelled in writing via email 30 (thirty) days prior to the scheduled event. All funds paid towards the catered event is considered to be a part of the deposit.
  • What is the minimum person limit for caterings?
    There is no limit for entering a professional catering service agreement with Channy J’s.
  • Can food be ordered by the pan?
    Yes, we offer per pan pricing. Submit your inquiry to for more information.
  • Do you offer in-home services?
    Yes! We offer in-home private chef services for working professionals with busy schedules.
  • Do you travel?
    Yes! As a Private Exclusive Chef Service, we have the luxury of coming to you wherever you are! Whether for an exclusive event, cooking class or demonstration, we are willing to travel outside of our city and state. We accept requests within the USA, however there is a travel fee (mileage & gas) for this service. Depending on the distance and time of event, lodging accomodation may be requested.
  • When will my order arrive?
    Due to COVID-19, please note that your item will be shipped with 5-7 business days after order confirmation, excluding weekends & holidays.
  • How can I track my order?
    A confirmation email is sent once shipping label has been created which includes your tracking number.
